I will never understand why people vote against their interests. Our representation here in Montana is abysmal. They have only the richest individual’s interest at heart despite the average income here being low. Our country is at its best when it treats the least of us the same as best of us. Get vocal Montana, before it’s too late!

Our ND rep also voted yes on this wretched immoral bill. Our two senators may do the same - I call them every day until the vote. And protest. If I can say one good thing, it brings into clear focus the evil we are fighting and those that perpetrate it. Karma will catch up with them; these are not good humans.

South Dakota here. My Rep keeps harping on waste, fraud and abuse. He thinks it is a waste to give people medical care? Or they are fraudulently pretending to need care? Is it abuse to give people affordable life-saving medication?

Honestly, we need to go after the wealthy management of hospitals, clinics and nursing homes that cook the books, and stop demonizing the recipients of the care.

(I don't think there is much of that in the small facilities in Montana but I am looking at Rick Scott’s $1.7 billion fraud case in Florida.)

The “not for profit hospitals” I have worked for are not wealthy…..and raking in big money…yes capital for the purchase of specialized equipment and new procedure equipment cost..Yes you need to hire and recruit specialist and clinical staff expertise. What the government pays per dollar spent might cover a portion cost of care .

I’m hear what you are saying but am going to quibble about language.

Medicare and Social Security are both funded by dedicated payroll taxes and are both the result of people identifying a national problem, advocating through the political process, congress witting and passing laws that the president signed which makes them government programs.

Social Security was largely driven into creation by Frances Perkins, who was Labor Secretary in FDR’s administration. The goal, in which it has been largely successful, was to eliminate poverty in the elderly, widows and orphans.

Holy crap! Why don’t more Americans know about this?

I’m amazed that this is the first I’ve heard of this pilot run in Big Sky Country of the very evil about to beset millions of Americans. Thank you for sharing your knowledge & experience. Thank you for fighting to protect OUR parklands too!!!

Such a stark and alarming example of the Native American man simply trying to get his heart meds and now facing life-threatening illness and unbearable medical debt. Thank you for sharing this, Ryan!

The problem with this lesson is that if you tell it to a "America again great make" moron their first thought would be 'who cares, he was Native American - he shouldn't have been allowed to get Madicaid in the first place'. Because they always want to make it about the individual and how they differ from them. It's the age old divide and conquer strategy.

There will be a real moral reckoning coming, the millionaires and the GOP, when this comes to an end,. when all truths come out of all the fraud and corruption, the lies to the people. Yes, we are going to experience some hardships. We will need to rebuild our government from the ground up by keeping the constitution, but this time, we, the people, need a seat at the table. Each state has two Representatives, one from each party.

Then the loopholes in the laws need amendments to create a better fereral and state system.

Personally I don't believe 45 won the presidency in 2016 or 2024, he won these through Russia's interferences., and Elon Musk’s starlink. But all things do comes to a end..All that are complicit will or should be tried for treason, and oh yea and maybe the should not get no due process, and maybe stay at Guatonomo. So they can all feel the injustice they proposed on others.Just saying EO

I have always thought that politicians need to explain themselves: at greater length, with greater clarity, in answer to the questions asked. This is good, very good. Now we need to figure out how to get everyone to lister.

Here’s the facts:

We need to be telling Republicans that the Republican president, legitimized by the republican Supreme Court, elected by Republican voters, signed policies passed by the Republican House and the Republican Senate.

These are Republican policies we are talking about.

America, cannot continue to claim that we have free speech, if we allow this crazy chief executive to continue to go after our institutions without any constraints! This is absolutely disastrous!
